The United Food Bank has been in existence a long time in Plant City.  Their function is to help families (who are screened for legitimate short-term need) bridge the gap through tough times brought upon them by job losses, medical concerns, or other things that keep them from “making ends meet” for a time. “They offer a hand up, not a hand out.” We ask our members to do their best to bring non-perishable items to church and place them in front of the pulpit the first Sunday of the month (yes - we’ll collect food left there after any Sunday!).  There is also a giving box in the church fellowship hall.
